The plugin tells you what the bank answered in two places: the notes of the order, and the WooCommerce status log.
Order notes
Each answer of the bank adds a note to the order. The main ones are:
- A confirmed payment: Paiement de the amount validé le the date. The order payment is then completed.
- A refused or cancelled payment, with the reason given by the bank: your bank or the customer’s bank asks for more information, refuses the payment, or the customer cancelled; the payment was blocked by the filtering or the scoring of your fraud prevention module (the note names the filtering cause); or the 3D Secure authentication was negative. The order becomes Failed.
- 3D Secure: the note says whether the authentication succeeded, failed, was rejected, was attempted, was not performed, or if the card is not enrolled. When 3D Secure was bypassed, it says why: by you, because of the minimum amount set on the Monetico service, or because of scoring. If the bypass contradicts your 3D Secure preference, the note says so.
- A response that does not match the mode: see the article about test mode.
- A refund: see the article about refunds.
For payments in installments, each note starts with the rank of the installment, in French, as in Deuxième partie du paiement.
Status log
When Enregistrer les échanges is ticked, the plugin writes what it sends to and receives from the bank into the WooCommerce log. Find it in
Pick a log whose name starts with lws_monetico. One log is kept per payment method (for example lws_monetico and lws_monetico3x), and the calls the bank makes to your return URL are in lws_monetico. Turn this setting off in normal use, as the setting itself advises: the log holds order references and bank answers.
Reading the log
- Bad or missing security MAC. The seal of the bank’s call does not match your security key. Check the key in the settings of the method used for the order.
- Webhook called with a bad TPE. The terminal number in the call is not the one in your settings.
- Webhook called for unknown Order. No order has the reference the bank sent.
- Webhook called for an Order setup to a not Monetico Gateway. The order was not paid with a Monetico method.
- Unknown or not supported “code-retour” value. The bank sent a result code the plugin does not handle.
If you see none of these lines for a payment and the order stays pending, the bank may not be calling your return URL. Check the date printed under the address in your settings (see the article about what to set up with your bank).
