Initial Setup

After activating the plugin, you will have access to all the plugin’s features. In this section, we’ll cover the different possibilities of the plugin. However, if you want to set up the plugin in details, please report to the settings section of this documentation.

There are 3 main features in Virtual Wallet :

  • Standard wallet : This is the typical e-wallet that you can find on many websites. Customers can earn wallet credit using different methods like casback or top up and can then use this credit to pay on your website.
  • Gems wallet : Create your own currency and products that customers can only purchase with that currency. This is the perfect tool to create a gift shop on your website.
  • Gift Cards : The gift card feature will allow your customers to gift standard or gems wallet credit to their friends so that they can spend it on your shop.

Before setting up the plugin, it’s important to decide which wallet mode you will use by default.

Default Wallet

Virtual Wallet offers 2 distinct modes for the wallet. You can use them both at the same time. However, you’re most likely going to use only one at the beginning. Therefore, you should first decide which wallet mode will be your default mode.

Why is it important ?

It’s important because, for all elements you display in the front end, if you don’t specify the mode, Virtual Wallet will use the default mode.

You can see and set the default mode in all Virtual Wallet’s administration pages, on the top right part of the page.
