Reward Popup
Reward Popup

Knowledge Base

When a customer unlocks a reward from an unlock link, the page opens with a popup that announces the reward. The popup shows the reward title and the details of what the customer received. This article explains when it appears and how to set it. It needs WooRewards Pro.

When the popup appears

An unlock link comes from the Reward Choice email, or from the unlock buttons of the and

shortcodes. The customer follows the link, WooRewards unlocks the reward, and the page loads with the popup.

The popup also reports the failures of an unlock link, with the title The reward cannot be unlocked !: an out-of-date link, a link opened with another account, a reward that is no longer available, or a system that has expired.

A reward unlocked by Automatic Rewards Redeem does not go through an unlock link, so this popup does not announce it.

Reward Popup

The group is described as: Defines the popup options when a user unlocks a reward. It has these fields:

  • Timing of request’s grab: Normal or Sooner. If the redirect of the popup does not work, a plugin may write to the page too early. Switching to Sooner may solve it.
  • Enable the reward popup: turn the popup on or off. The default is on. When it is off, the reward is still unlocked, but no popup shows.
  • Popup title: the title of the popup. If you leave it empty, customers see New reward unlocked !.
  • Redirection page after a reward is unlocked: the page where the unlock links of the Reward Choice email and of the popup list lead, so the page that shows the popup. If you leave it empty and WooCommerce is active, it is the Loyalty and Rewards tab of the My Account page, when that tab is enabled. Otherwise, it is the page the customer was on.
  • Show other available rewards: adds to the popup a list of the other rewards the customer can still unlock, each with an Unlock button.
  • Remaining Label: the title of that list. If you leave it empty, customers see Other rewards are waiting for you.
  • Popup layout: how that list is displayed. Choose All with scrollbar, Grid, One by One or 3 by 3.

If your site is older than version 4.9.0

When WooRewards was first installed on your site before version 4.9.0, the group opens with a Used Popup switch: New Popup or Legacy Popup. Sites updated from an older version keep the legacy popup at first. In legacy mode, the group shows these fields instead:

  • Disable the reward popup
  • Redirection page after a reward is unlocked
  • Show remaining available rewards after a reward is unlocked
  • a styling tool for the popup

The fields described above appear when you switch to New Popup.
