Pro version. A box can offer a product. The product is given through a WooCommerce coupon taking 100% off that single product.

Create the coupon

In WooCommerce, create a coupon with:

• Discount type: Percentage discount.
• Coupon amount: 100.
• Products: the product to offer, and only that one.
• Limit usage to X items: 1.

Set its other limits, such as the expiry date, as for any coupon.

Give it to a box

Edit the box, choose Existing WooCommerce coupon as reward and pick your coupon. If its Limit usage to X items is not set to 1, the box window warns you: every unit of that product in the cart would be free. The warning links to the coupon’s usage limits.

What the customer sees

The reward window reads You won a free product and presents the product. Apply to cart puts the product in the cart, unless it is already there, and applies the coupon.

As for any box coupon, the coupon is refused at checkout to customers who did not open the box.
