- Give WooRewards Points for a Registration Code
When WooRewards is active, Registration Codes adds a new way to earn points: a user who registers with a code earns points.
Requirements
- WooRewards, active
- A Registration Codes license, active
Set it up
In WooRewards, edit the points and rewards system that should give the points and add a way to earn points. Choose Use a Registration Code. It is listed in the Website category and described as Earn points for using a registration code.
Besides the options WooRewards shows for any way to earn points, this one has a field:
- Code Pattern: only the codes matching the pattern give points. The two wildcard characters are * and ?. The question mark stands for one character and the star stands for any number of characters. Both can come in the middle or at the end of a word. The match ignores upper and lower case. Leave the field empty to give points for every code.
Points are given after registration, once the code has been applied to the new user. In the points history, the reason reads Used the registration code : followed by the code.
Example
VIP*matches VIP2024 and vipfriend, not MYVIP.TEAM-??matches TEAM-01 and TEAM-AB, not TEAM-001.
