- Test Mode
Each Monetico payment method has a Mode de test setting. It is on by default, so a new method is in test mode until you turn it off.

Monetico - Credit Mutuel / CIC
What changes in test mode
The setting says: Pour tester la méthode de paiement, aucune transaction n’est réellement créée. In practice, the plugin sends the customer, and your refund requests, to the test addresses of the Monetico service instead of the production ones. The link on the order’s transaction ID also opens the test dashboard of Monetico.
Keep the mode and the bank in step
The bank tells the plugin if a payment is a test or a real one. The plugin only accepts the one that matches its mode:
- In test mode, a test payment marks the order as paid. A production payment does not. The plugin adds an order note instead: Got PROD response fron the Bank since gateway is set to TEST mode.
- In production, a production payment marks the order as paid. A test payment does not. The plugin adds an order note instead: Got TEST response fron the Bank since gateway is set to PROD mode.
If an order stays unpaid after a payment you know went through, look for one of these notes.
Go live
- Check that the return URL is given to your bank (see the article about what to set up with your bank).
- Untick Activer le mode de test on every Monetico method you use, and save.
- If you use refunds, check that the bank has your server IP addresses (see the article about refunds).
- Untick Enregistrer les échanges once everything works, as the setting advises.
