Welcome to the Monetico Gateway documentation. The plugin adds the Monetico payment service of the Crédit Mutuel / CIC banks to WooCommerce. Your customer pays by credit card, either on the bank’s payment page or in a form shown inside your own site.
The plugin does not replace your contract with the bank. You need a Monetico online payment contract first. Ask your bank adviser if you do not have one.
Requirements
- WooCommerce, installed and active. The plugin requires WooCommerce 7.1.0 or later.
- WordPress 5.3 or later and PHP 7.0 or later.
- A Monetico contract, and the three values the bank gives you with it (see the article about what to set up with your bank).
Install the plugin
After purchasing your license, you receive an email with a download link. You can also log into your account at https://plugins.longwatchstudio.com/my-account/ and go to the Downloads section to download the plugin’s zip file.
Then, in your website, go to
Select the zip file, install it and activate it.
Activate your license
You will find your license key inside the order confirmation email, or in your account at https://plugins.longwatchstudio.com/my-account/ inside Orders → License Manage.
The first time you activate the plugin, WordPress sends you to the license page. If it does not, in your administration, go to
Paste your license key in the License Key field and click on Activate my license. Once the license is active, the page shows your key and a Deactivate my license button. Deactivating the license does not cancel your subscription.
If your server cannot reach the license server, use the Alternative activation link at the bottom of the page and follow the steps on screen.
You can also reach this page from the Plugins list. The plugin’s row shows a Settings link, and a Add Licence Key link that becomes Licence once the license is active.
Until the license is active, the Monetico payment methods do not appear in WooCommerce.
Where to find the settings
The plugin adds a Passerelle Monetico entry to the main menu of your administration. Its Paramètres page lists two entries: Méthode de paiement and Système.
- Méthode de paiement opens the payment method settings in WooCommerce, as soon as the license is active. Before that, it sends you to the license page.
- Système holds the license, as described above.
The payment methods themselves are set in
The next articles explain what to ask your bank and how to fill these settings.
