Multisite Network

Knowledge Base

If you’re using a WordPress multisite network, there are some things you need to know on how to use WooRewards in this type of environment.

License

You only need one license for the multisite network, no matter how many subsites you have on the network. Follow the installation instructions and activate your license on any subsite to be able to use the pro features on all other sites.

Customers Points

If you’re not familiar with points and rewards systems yet, please visit the How it works documentation first.

WooRewards uses points reserves to attribute points to customers. These points reserves are available across the entire network. What this means is that, if you set the same points reserve name in systems from different sites of the network, customers points will be shared amongst these websites.

Shared points setup

If you want to share points between several websites, here’s how to do it :

  • On the first website, go to WooRewards → Settings and create a new points and rewards system. In the General Settings group, set a title for your system. In this example, we’ll call it “Loyalty Program“.
Do your settings regarding actions and rewards and save your settings.
After saving, you’ll notice that there is a loyalty program points reserve set in the advanced parameters group.
  • On the second website, repeat the procedure and make sure to use the same name for your system. Save your settings.
  • Repeat the same process for all websites.
  • That’s it, you now have a points reserve shared between all websites of the network. You can now work on your loyalty program for each website.

Please note that you can set different actions and different rewards for each website. Points will be shared nonetheless. However, rewards are not shared between websites. If a customer unlocks a reward on website A, it’s only available on that website.

Separate points setup

If you don’t want to share points between different websites, simply make sure that you create systems with different names on each site of the network.
