Birthday
Birthday

Knowledge Base

The Birthday action is used to give points to users for their birthday.

The tradition is to give a direct gift on a user’s birthday. This is why this action is best used on its own Points and Rewards System. See our dedicated tutorial to set it up.

Preventing Abuse

In WooRewards, there is a security that prevents customers from abusing the birthday feature. As a result, after a first point trigger, at least 1 year must pass before a customer is able to receive a birthday reward again. Therefore, changing their birthday date will only result in a longer delay before customers are rewarded again.

In addition, no points are given for birthdays before the user registration date or the creation of this earning action.

Set up the action

To add this customer action, you first need to create a points and rewards system. If you haven’t already, please create one by following this part of the documentation.

Now that you are in the points and rewards system edition, do the following

Follow these steps

Points Group
Click Add
Select Miscellaneous
Select Birthday

In the popup, you’ll see a lot of options. Let’s detail them below so that you understand how to use them.
