Welcome to the My Christmas Advent Calendar documentation. My Christmas Advent Calendar adds an advent calendar to your WooCommerce shop: every box has an opening date and a reward, and each logged-in customer opens each box once, on its day.

It comes in two plugins. My Christmas Advent Calendar for WooCommerce is free, on wordpress.org. My Christmas Advent Calendar Pro, sold on this site, includes the free plugin and adds themes, a free product reward, bonuses with the Play Together plugins, the customer’s streak and statistics.

Requirements

• WordPress 7.0 or later
• PHP 7.4 or later
• WooCommerce, installed and active

Install the free version

In your website, go to

Search for My Christmas Advent Calendar, then install and activate it.

Install the Pro version

After purchasing your license, you receive an email with a download link. You can also log into your account at https://plugins.longwatchstudio.com/my-account/ and go to the Downloads section to download the plugin’s zip file.

Then, in your website, go to

Select the zip file and activate the plugin. You do not need to install the free version first: the Pro includes it. If the free version is already installed, the Pro deactivates it and keeps its boxes and openings.

Activate your license

You will find your license key inside the order confirmation email, or in your account at https://plugins.longwatchstudio.com/my-account/ inside Orders → License Manage. A license key can be activated on two sites.

In your administration, go to

Paste your license key in the field and validate. Until the license is active, the settings page only shows the 2. Rewards and License tabs. Once it is active, the settings page shows its steps: 1. Theme, 2. Rewards, Look of each box, Bonuses of each box, 3. Display and 4. Statistics.

What the plugin creates on activation

• 24 boxes dated December 1 to 24 of the current year, each with a demo text reward flagged until you replace it.
• A draft page named Advent Calendar holding the calendar shortcode, for you to review and publish.
