Knowledge Base

VIP Memberships provides a full roles management feature. It will let you edit roles and capabilities.

To access it, go to the following page :

Admin menu
WooVIP
Menu entry
Memberships
Page

On that page, you’ll see a list of all your website’s existing roles.

Search and Filters

Above the roles list, you’ll find different filters

  • Filter by role : Select which role you want to display
  • Filter by capabilities : Enter a capability and trigger the filter. Only roles with the capability will appear on the list.
  • Filter the results : You can filter by membership

Roles List

The list presents roles with the following columns :

  • Roles : Displays the role’s name
  • Capabilities : Shows how many capabilities are set in the role
  • VIP Membership : Shows if the role is associated to a membership or not
  • Action : Use this to perform one of the following actions
    • Quick Edit : Edit the role’s capabilities
    • Copy : Copy the role and create a new role
    • Delete : Delete the role. This button will only appear if no users have that role.
    • VIP Membership : If there’s a VIP membership tied to the role, this will lead you to the membership edition page

If you edit the role, you’ll see a popup with the following possibilities

  • Name : You can edit the role’s name
  • Capabilities : You can see a list of all available capabilities. You can add your own capabilities. For each capability, you can set the capability’s status
    • Ignore : the capability isn’t associated to the role
    • Grant : The role gets the capability
    • Deny : The role specifically doesn’t have the capability
