Now, it’s time to sell it. Selling a Membership is really easy with VIP Memberships.

Selling a membership with a WooCommerce Product

Go to your WooCommerce products and create a new product. You can also edit an existing product.

Set a price for your membership like for a regular product.

In the Product Data group, you will see a new WooVIP Membership Tab.

Select the WooVIP Membership Tab. Then, select which membership will be granted when purchasing the product.

That’s it, you’re ready to sell memberships to your customers.

Selling a membership for a limited period

When you edit the product, stay a little longer in the tab WooVIP Membership of the Product Data group.

Under the membership selector, you can check the “During” box. Then select a validity period.

The membership is granted to the customer when the order reaches Processing or Completed. To grant it only on Completed, check Grant membership on ‘Complete’ order only in WooVIP > Settings > General Settings. The membership will then be automatically lost at the end of the validity period.

Selling a membership with a subscription

Requires WooCommerce Subscription plugin.

If your product is of type “Simple subscription” or “Variable subscription”, a Subscription field appears in the WooVIP Membership tab. Set it to Bind with Subscription status to correlate the membership to the subscription status, or to Independent to ignore the subscription.

As long as the customer’s subscription is active, their membership remains valid. As soon as the status of the subscription changes to anything else than active, on hold or pending cancellation (for example “cancelled”, “expired” or “pending”), their membership is revoked.
