Emails

This documentation is for the WooVirtualWallet plugin

There are different emails to set up for your gift cards. Firstly, you need to configure the email that recipients will receive when a customer offers them a gift card. However, you can also set up emails for gift cards expiration and refunds. Let’s get to it.

First, go to WooVirtualWallet → Appearance → Emails where you will find all the settings relative to gift cards emails

Email general settings

Set the default information for :

  • Header picture : Set the header picture that will be displayed on top of your emails.
  • Footer text : Set the text you want to display on the footer of all emails. You can add links.

Information

If you don’t set a footer, the email will display a Powered by WooVirtualWallet text. If you don’t want to see that text, simply set your own text.

 

New Gift Card

This is the most important email regarding gift cards. In fact, this is the email that gift cards recipients will receive when a customer offers them a gift card.

You can set various options before customizing the email.

  • Subject : Set the Gift card email subject.
  • Preheader : Set the Gift card email preheader.
  • Enabled : If unchecked, no email will be sent.
  • Demo Header with Image : If you want images chosen by customers to be sent in gift cards email, check this option.
  • Site URL : Set the link URL that will be applied to the link information.

In addition, there are different shortcodes that you can use in the email to replace static content with what the gifter entered when buying the gift card. Please make sure that all shortcodes are used where you want these texts to appear.

Gift Card expiration

Inform the recipient that his gift card is about to expire. There is a lot of information that you can display on this email according to your gift cards settings. Use the following shortcuts to display dynamic information :

  • Subject : Set the Gift card expiration email subject.
  • Preheader : Set the Gift card expiration email preheader.
  • Days before Gift Card expiration to send the reminder email : (Optional) Set number of day before gift card expiration to send the email.
  • Site URL : Set the link URL that will be applied to the link information.

Gift Card recredit

Inform you customer that a gift card he bought has been recredited on his wallet

  • Subject : Set the Gift card recredit email subject.
  • Preheader : Set the Gift card recredit email preheader.
  • Enabled : If unchecked, no email will be sent.
  • Site URL : Set the link URL that will be applied to the link information.
