Now that you have downloaded the zip file, go to your wordpress administration and go to Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin. Drag and drop the zip file in the designated area or click on the Select a file… button and choose the plugin zip file.

Then, click on the Install Now button.

Once the installation process is complete, click on the Activate plugin button. The plugin is now activated and you will be redirected to the WooVirtualWallet license page.

License Key

In your WordPress administration, go to WooVirtualWallet → System. Here you will find a License Tab. Click on it and you will see a field to enter your license key.

Enter the license key and click on Activate your license. Wait for the process to finish. You now have access to all WooVirtualWallet features.

WooVirtualWallet Mode Selection

The first time you install and activate WooVirtualWallet, you’ll want to set the wallet mode. You can do that by going to WooVirtualWallet → Select Wallet Mode. This wizard will invite you to chose between the 2 modes available in the plugin :

  • Standard Wallet using the shop currency : In this mode, customers will use the wallet as another payment method. They will be able to pay their orders partially or in full using the wallet credit. The following features will be activated:
    • Payment Gateway : This will install a new payment gateway for WooCommerce. You will still have to set it up after it’s installed.
    • Partial Payment : Customers will get the possibility to use some of their wallet money on the cart page to reduce the order’s total.
    • Sell wallet credit : Enables to sell wallet credit in WooCommerce products.
    • Product cashback : Enables Product cashback in WooCommerce products.
    • Include shipping fees : If enabled, customers will be able to pay shipping fees with the wallet.
  • Use your own currency : In this mode, customers will use the wallet to buy exclusive products with your own virtual currency. The payment gateway won’t be available. The following features will be activated:
    • Create your currency : Specify your own currency and symbol.
    • Enter product prices in your currency : Products may be sold using this currency.
    • Product prices are displayed in your currency : Lets you create specific product that can be only available in this currency.
    • Sell wallet credit : Enables to sell wallet credit in WooCommerce products.
    • Product cashback in your currency : Enables Product cashback in WooCommerce products.

As you can see, each mode has its own features but you can’t have both modes enabled at the same time. We will detail each mode in the next pages of this documentation

You can change the mode at any time by restarting the wizard going to WooVirtualWallet → Change Wallet Mode but you will lose the current mode settings in the process.

Information

If you skip the wizard, the Standard mode will be enabled by default.
