User registers

With this method, customers will earn points when they register on the website.

Settings :

  • Title : Modify if needed
  • Earned points : amount of points earned after registration.

Recurrent visit

With this method, customers will earn points when they visit your website.

  • Title : Modify if needed
  • Earned points : amount of points earned when completing the order.
  • Cooldown : Time between to visits before a visitor can earn points again.

Warning : This method will give a lot of points to users if you’re not careful. You should set a cooldown of at least 7 days.


Post a comment

With this method, customers will earn points when they comment a page or a post on your website.

Settings :

  • Title : Modify if needed
  • Earned points : amount of points earned after posting a comment.
  • Apply on : Defines if the method is applied on posts, pages or both.

Warning : Comments need to be approved for points to be distributed. This method only works with wordpress comments. External solutions or plugins don’t trigger this method.


Easter Egg

With this method, you will invite your customers to hunt for pictures on your website. When they find the picture, they must click on it to earn the points.

Settings :

  • Title : Modify if needed
  • Earned points : amount of points earned when finding the picture.
  • Seek : The image to look for on the website
  • Found : Optional. By default, the image will disappear when clicked on. If you set a second image, it will be displayed instead.

When you’ve set your easter egg, WooRewards will generate a shortcode :

Copy and paste this shortcode on a page or a post to begin the game.


Visit a post, page or URL

With this method, visitors will earn points when they visit specific pages or posts of your website.

Settings :

  • Title : Modify if needed
  • Earned points : amount of points earned when visiting pages.
  • Post Categories : Select the post categories for which you want to distribute points when visited.
  • Pages : The pages from your website that give points when visited.
  • Relative or absolute URLs : Use it if you want to distribute points on specific URLs of your website.
  • Hide from search and robots  : If checked, the specific URLs specified in the previous option will be hidden from search engines and robots. Convenient if you want to create a treasure hunt on your website.

Information : With this method, visitors will only earn points once per page visited. If they visit the same page or post twice, they won’t get the points again.
